No Sound alert on Smart Home App

I have installed the Sky Doorbell and all seems to be working, however if someone rings doorbell I only get a banner notification on the Smart Home App and I can't get it to give me a sound notification. I would of thought this would have been default so to alert you if someone is at the door especially if you have your phone in your pocket or handbag, otherwise you miss whoever is at your door. I've turned all settings on that I can find in App but still no sound notification. Have I missed something? With thanks

I'm having the same issue, everything is connected and working but the only doorbell alert received on our iPhones is a vibration with no sound.

Admittedly my wife and I are in our 60's but even our kids can't change this.

Seriously considering returning the doorbell and going back to Ring: as other posters have said, the current pop-up (vibration only) alert is useless unless you happen to be holding or looking at your phone when the bell is rung.

Thanks for reply Dan. Thought it was just me!!! My work around on this at the moment is that you can check the Smart Home App is set to "sound" but this only makes the noise of whatever you have set for default banner notifications which a lot of other apps might also use. So I've changed my default sound to something a bit more noisy and then any other apps that may also use the default I've turned off the "sound" settings. Certainly not perfect and I still have a couple of apps also giving me the same sound but least I can check it if I'm aware of it. This needs them to modify their app you should get a good notification when someone uses the door bell!

Fully understood and implemented but that still doesn't "work" for us, (every pop up banner notification being as loud as we'd like the doorbell to be is a tad annoying to say the least!!) so we're cancelling and going back to Ring.

Hi Dan. I fully agree that this is a big problem for this door bell and will probably put a lot of people off. What's the point of having a Smart Door Bell if it doesn't alert you clearly enough. Good luck going back to Ring. I'll persevere with it as I don't have too many apps using the default banner sound and hoping Sky put in a fix for this and update it. All the best.
