topic DOORBELL in Sky Protect & Smart Home

Can leave the doorbell connected to a power supply when it's fixed to the wall? Saves having to charge it all the time. I was going to drill a hole on the wall where the charger would plug in and connect it to a USB wire plugged into an adapter.

No that will not work.

While the usb is connected to the doorbell it is in charging mode only and the doorbell functions are not active.

Hopefully this is a software issue and can be updated too allow users to bypass having to remove and recharge. How would I go about finding this out ? And whom at sky could report this to?

Afraid this is not any kind of software issue.

The doorbell was designed to be charged as I mentioned above, with no facility to connect it to a permanent power source.

There is an an email address in the Sky Protect app, under the Support section, if you would like any further details or would like to request it for a future product.
