It's on the door frame with a window to the side so the door construction shouldn't be an issue, but it just won't chime unless the door is open.&nbsp;<BR /><BR />Anyone pushing the bell hears a chime outside so they then don't even knock if we don't answer!</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>It would be helpful if the app alerted to a press in a more, ahem, &nbsp;alerting way, but no it's the same push notification as every time someone walks in or out or near the door.&nbsp;<BR /><BR /></P><P>So sadly my conclusion is this doorbell is useless as a bell. It's coming off and I'll use it as a camera somewhere.&nbsp;<BR /><BR /></P><P>Thankfully &nbsp;the insurance cost no more than my previous policy.
