Good morning

I removed my video doorbell for the first time this morning and my goodness what a faff that was.

I ended up popping the tab with the tool provided and pushing a micro flat head screwdriver into the gap which gave me the leverage to release it.

I have some self-adhesive insanely powerful magnets..

Could I use those instead?

But it would've a 3mm gap where the bell meets the bracket..

As far as I can tell the doorbell looks sealed all the way around apart from the mic/speaker on the base.

Would it work??

Also I switched it off to charged it..

Will I need to reinstall it or will it sync automatically?

Many thanks

I have some self-adhesive insanely powerful magnets..

Could I use those instead?

I don't know about the Sky-supplied doorbell camera in particular, but as a general principle it's unwise to use 'insanely powerful magnets' in the vicinity of any electronic device, and particularly where these have moving electro-mechanical elements such as the sliding IR-cut filter typically found in CCTV units.
