What does BT's deal with Eurosport means for Sky Sports subscriber?

At present Sky Sports subscribers also get, as part of their package, Eurosport, which has lots of sports I watch and enjoy, from cycling and WorldSuperbikes to rock climbing. Are we going to continue to receive this as part of our Sky Sports package? If so does that mean will get the BT Sport element as well including UEFA football?

@hammoon No one here will know what will happen as we are customers just like you and have no access to any future plans regarding the Eurosport/BT Sport merger

Agreed with Sky a new longer-term reciprocal channel supply deal beyond 2030

The Sky (and Virgin I would guess) distribution deals are pretty important for BT so the new JV will remain in business with Sky for some years to come.

Actually eurosport isn't part of the sky sports pack, it is part of the sky signature pack or the legacy sky entertainment pack

Do wish they could be a bit more transparent with us, but I understand that they can only tell us something once completed

They did say that Sky Glass was coming before the launch though

The current sky discovery carriage deal is legally binding which was announced as long term, remains in place

Eurosport on their website have said

Warner Bros. Discovery and BT Group have agreed to create a new sport offering in the UK & Ireland. This will be a joint venture that we expect to form by the end of the year. BT Sport and Eurosport UK will retain their separate channels and products for the time being, so there will be no immediate change for you.

In the event of any future changes to the service we are currently providing, we will communicate to you in due course
