Billions Season 6 finale

So, I settled down last night to watch the season finlae of Billions (having recorded it in the early hours - as I always do). What I got instead was LAST week's episode; even though the info box claimed it was the finale. What's going on here?! There is no sign of it being repeated (it would probably be the wrong episode again anyway)

Yes, UHD seemed to turn up a few days later than HD.

Definitely worth watching - excellent season finale!

But the episode I recorded (3:15 am on Monday, 18th April), claimed to be the season finale, and is listed as episode 12. It was actually episode 11, which was indeed broadcast a week earlier. The synposis is different from the previous week. Therefore, as far as I can tell, Sky has broadcast the same episode twice, with a different episode number and synopsis.

How does the episode start

There was only 12 episodes in the season (the same as all the others)

Wikipedia states the last episode in the US was "cold storage" broadcast 10th April in the USA

This agrees to sky broadcast. Sky do do the repeats on sky atlantic on a Sunday night but with 3 episodes of Julia showed, it pushed the repeat of the previous week billions to 3:15 which was the time that billions was previously broadcast when new so I think that is the cause of the confusion.

Once UHD was sorted for the first episode of season 6, UHD was consistant throughout the rest of the season. I was able to record the early morning broadcast and download the UHD when I got up.

I did record the early morning finale but as I downloaded the UHD version to watch, I have no idea if the recorded episode was correct or not. But given that the On Demand version is correct, I suggest to download it to watch.

Also on any difference on synopsis from one showing to another, showtime may have been a bit coy on the details prior to original broadcast.

It has happened before where tv announcer gives away the plot. I mean I remember with rte one telling people "it's a tearjerker" before airing a series finale of one TV programme. (it is what was really good about watching breaking bad and Mr robot on tg4. Even if the announcer spoils what happens in it, k had no idea as I struggle with conversational Gaelige)

Looking at newspaper tV guides I haven't thrown out, other episode descriptions for previous weeks were more precise than the last episode. In the last episode, it seems like the description for the season arc.

@swhxd06 I have the final two episodes recorded, Ep 11 was aired 4/4/22 at 3.05am and Ep 12 aired 11/4/22 at 3.05am. I've just checked and the episodes recorded start differently.

It apears that somehow (not sure how?) I saw the finale episode before it was aired in the early hours of Monday 18th. I have no idea how that happened, but I definitely saw the final episode a week ago. Confused? So am I!

I had 3 backed up, watched them all and didn't know the last was the finale. Gutted when I went to the planner yesterday to find no more Billions 😞
