&lt;P&gt;Sky television hasn't required a physical landline connection into its hardware for years*: older Sky+ / Sky+ HD hardware had a dial-up modem for basic online interactivity and telemetry export, now long obsolete.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky Q uses satellite signal for live content and broadband for online services, either over ethernet or WiFi from a router.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky Glass is online-only over ethernet or WiFi&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
