apple tv + app on sky Q

Hi it says on sky's website that apple tv + app is available today on sky Q but how come iv not got the app it's not showing on my sky Q box please can anyone help me iv followed the link below but doesn't help me get the app

True @Anonymous, Apple TV+ is going to launch to sky Q and Sky Glass today starting this afternoon. As @Melancholic said, it will be a gradual rollout, so you should be able to see it on your box soon.

It signs me out as soon as I sign in

everytime

and no option of email address and password

only Mobile Authentication which makes this even weirder!!!!!

Mine tries to load and then just gets stuck on the Apple tv+ logo...

The sign in is only by the mobile or qr code method as described in the Sky Apple TV+ help pages here;

If that continues like that.
Power down your Sky Q box and leave off power for a few minutes before repowering and trying again.

@seandrews It did this to me too. I solved it by logging into my Apple ID through a web browser on my computer, selecting devices, then select the Sky Glass device and then remove it from my account. I then started at the beginning via the Sky Glass app and it logged me in.

using my iPhone and then the Face ID and Sky bumps me out.

this is a joke of a launch

Ok,

A refresh of apps sometimes often helps with apps playing up.
Once doing a refresh, it can take a short while for them to get refreshed.

Also, programmes say Dolby Atmos but it doesn't state this on my soundbar. No library available as it's only the + side of Apple TV. What a waste of time.

Still not working for me on the main box despite the 'switch off-switch on' game and numerous app refreshes. Funnily enough it works fine on the mini.

@gizmo120 just been told by apple that sky didn't want the app that included the library tab they just wanted the app that only the + side of it apple want sky to use the app with the library tab and not just the + side but sky made that decision that's what apple told me

Yep. I entered my apple ID and first it came up with my account and "continue viewing". Cool! Then suddenly the Apple TV home page wasn't showing my account info any more and it was offering me a"free trial". So I left the app and tried to restart it and now it just hangs on the Apple TV logo. Not a great customer experience 😂

All their apps bar Amazon is substandard. No Atmos on Disney+ or Netflix. I stick to my TV apps and actual Apple TV box. Sky want a one solution for all approach but their substandard apps.

My biggest issue with the sky Q is they took so long to do HDR but they also don't support all the standards on the Q box and the apps don't do all the audio standards.

They want the box to be an all in one but they failed badly with the Q box on that. Dolby Vision was a standard that been on netflix and disney+ and apple TV before the third box came out so sky should of made sure the box had support as they were opening it up for apps on the platform and they already had netflix so there was no excuse not to include it and as you said the apps don't even do Atmos. People are subbing through sky and some paying for the top tear on netflix and with the Q box they can't get the quality they are paying that netflix actually provides for if the end user has the supporting equipment (AKA Dolby Vision and Atmos).

The pucks at least fix one of the issues and that's Dolby Vision (I could not see anyone saying about atmos from third party apps on the pucks or sky glass) but they should of had that on the 3rd gen Q box at least since alot of the services already had before the box launched and I would not of minded going to Sky glass if I could get the puck only but not with the TV. The TV would only sit in the shed in it's box unopened so I am sticking to Sky Q until that changes but I atleast have the hardware to play Vision and Atmos as I am paying for it and I wonder if that's a concept sky don't seem to understand they say belive in better but I wonder if they realy belive it cause when it comes to sky I sure don't.
