&lt;P&gt;From today, we have started our next release for Sky Go on PC and Mac. As part of this release, we have added some new options to help you control how Sky Go uses your data.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will see two new screens in the app:&amp;nbsp;a "Privacy" screen as soon as the app is launched, and a "Privacy Options" screen in the Settings page, where you will be able to manage your data preferences.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In order for the app to save your preferred preferences on these new screens, the Sky Go app will restart when you’ve made your selection. &lt;STRONG&gt;This means you may find that it takes longer to load than normal.&lt;/STRONG&gt; Please note, this will only increase the load time when you see these screens and not every time you launch Sky Go app on your PC or Mac.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What version are we talking about here? Is this the 22.4.1 release? I thought that was Beta.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For me the new release takes longer to load EVERY time (irrespective of it saving the privacy settings).. And after it finishes its "searching for update" the fans ramp up to full speed as it uses 100% CPU for almost a minute&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So load times are now almost 1.5 minutes with 1/2 of that time spent making the PC fans go nuts and using huge amounts of CPU.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I'm thinking your slowdown/CPU usage problem could be due to the AV running full out while Sky Go starts. I suggest you disable your AV and try Sky Go again and to find out how long it takes to start. What AV are you running? If it turns out to be your AV, you can set it to ignore Sky Go.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It could be something run on start that's slowing it down (just a guess).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

So I have uninstalled, removed all the folders and started again..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This time back to 22.2.2 and my load times are in the order of 10s of seconds again... So I am leaving the BETA alone for a while...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So for me now that I am back to 22.2.2 my start time is 28 seconds with a few seconds of the fan ramping up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When i went to the 22.4.1 BETA, my start time increased to 1min 20seconds.. 35 of which was "checking for update".. And then the next minute saw teh CPU ramping up to 100% with the Fans going ballistic...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I turned off my AV and it made no difference.. Something major changed between releases...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Tried turning it off to make it quicker?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;What would speed up the run time of Sky Go would be faster Internet. Our net is not great at the moment. Still waiting for Fibre to be installed so we can get better Internet. The slowest part of the start up is the check for a new version.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sky go automatic update appears stuck. &amp;nbsp;yesterday I tried to login to skygo update began when it gets to the end it repeats the message and goes round again. &amp;nbsp;I am using a Mac. I have tried rebooting the machine removed the app but probelm is still there. this means I can't watch sky &amp;nbsp;as my box no longer receives a signal due to tree growth in the area!!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
