moved from BT to Sky on Monday and struggling to get all my devices to stay connected.

My setup is possibly more complex than the average setup....

Old setup was - Openreach DSL modem -> Ubiquiti X Edgerouter. this then fed 2 switches in different parts of the house.

- a netgear GS116 LP (unmanaged, 16 port POE) which fed my main PC, 1 ubiquiti Access Point, 2 NAS devices, a Hive heating hub, a SONOS bridge, a Philips Hue hub, a printer, a PS4, and an xBox

- a netgear GS108 LP (unmanaged, 8 port POE) which fed 4 webcams, 2 ubiquiti Access Points and a NAS device.

in all, about 45 devices end up connecting via switches or WiFi

i had hoped the sky hub (SR203) would simply replace the "old" Openreach ADSL modem and the Ubiquiti Edgerouter but it's not proving to be that simple.

the issue is, as soon as a new device registers (either via WiFi or the 8-port), all connections from the 16-port are dropped. And the only way to get them back is to disconnect each ethernet cable and then reconnect - and the connections may hold for an hour or so, or just a few minutes. So far it seems to coincide with a new connection being established. Only devices connected to the 16-port are dropped.

I've just experimented by swapping out the 16-port with an old 8 port switch and everything seems to be staying connected, but this isn't a viable permanent fix as not enough ports and no POE.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I get the sky hub to play nicely with both switches? Note - i have seen comments that suggest the Sky hub doesn't play nicely with managed switches but both mine are unmanaged.

TIA

If it works fine when you use an alternate 8 port switch then that suggests an issue with the paticular 16 port you have?

As the Ubiquiti X Edgerouter supports DHCP Option 61 which is what is required for Sky, why not revert back to your previous configuration and change the authentication method for Sky?

Sky equipment is known to have all sorts of issues with third-party equipment!
