Glass is NOT an upgrade, it's a completely different type of service.

Do yourself a favour and buy yourself a shiny new proper TV if that's what you need. Glass just isn't stable enough to recommend to anyone who has a functioning Sky Q setup.

Read the reviews, skim through this forum. Glass should only be considered if you have no other way of receiving Sky TV channels and have a very fast and very stable broadband connection that can be wired using ethernet, as WiFi is problematic on Glass.

There, have I sold it enough?

Hi,

Quick question, i'm possibly upgrading to Glass, currently have Sky Q. I have Superfast, average 48mbs, concerned from reading posts that this may not be fast enough with both kids online gaming., watching movies/sport in UHD .Do i stick with Q or would i be ok with Glass? Apprecited in advance!

@Hobini I would stick with Q as Glass uses 35mbps at least just for UHD, leaving very little for other uses.

The question you need to ask do you need to get Glass or does Q suit your needs.

Don't view Glass as an upgrade. It's not. It's a different product targeted mainly for those who can't have dishes on their property.

If you are happy with Q then I would recommend staying with Q. If you only want Glass for the TV then you can get better TV's at a lower price. Do that instead.

I say all that as a happy Glass user. It solved a specific problem for me which is why I got it. If that problem could have been overcome another way I would have stayed with Q.
