All4 in HD

i am a little confused - I can watch CH4HD live but if I try to download from All4 in HD it tells me I have to upgrade.

can anyone explain why please?

Hi @Raider999

All four have chosen to require the HD subscription for HD content

Ch4 HD is free to air

It is an automatic filter that looks for certain words or phrases - although I didn't spot any particular ones that are likely to have triggered it.

Any regular poster here is lkely to have had some posts caught by it .

The SKY CMs can re-instate ones caught in error but it can take a long time for them to look at what get caught so they don't always re-instate ones caught in error depending on how the discussions may have progressed afterwards etc

@Raider999 I suggest you get an HD subscription as you'll also get more HD content other then just All4 downloads.

@LGUser When I returned to Sky I asked for HD, I have it on Sports (with the. Exception of the Mix channel) and live/recordings on the FTA channels - I wasn't told it was an extra for the other channels.

as I rarely watch anything that I cannot record in HD (apart from an occasional program on Mix or ITV4) I am not prepared to pay extra for HD which should be free as it is the norm these days.

I agree that HD should be included. But it's not and I refuse to watch SD when I can watch HD. I do watch Sky Max, Sky Witness, Sky Showcase (just for season 33 of The Simpsons), Sky Nature, Sky Comedy, Peacock, Alibi, Sky Arts, and others. Plus I do download sometimes. So for me it;'s worth it instead of watching SD trying to make a point.
