Satellite signal dropping every 30 seconds

Hi is there anyone @skytv that can help as my satellite signal keeps dropping every 30 seconds. I have tried all the steps turn on and off etc and still no progress? Can anyone advise please. I'm after missing a lot of good sport already today. Very very frustrating

Hi @DUFFERS

Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
Press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

When i press 0,0,1 nothing comes up or happens?

Is there something im doing wrong?

Didn't seem to work on now i can't access apps or recordings now either?

Do you know anything to do about it?

Hi @DUFFERS

Did you re-pair the Remote control?

If the remote is working Ok try a reboot.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Unfortunately no luck it seems to have knocked out all recordings apps etc.

I will have to get an engineer id say.

Hi @DUFFERS

Are you sure that you carried out the correct reset?

Ie Reset Settings and not a Factory reset or Hard drive reset?

Do you have your own Dish or are you on a communal System?

I went to reset and then the first option (reset settings).

I have my own dish with a sky q mini box run off to my parents log cabin via a cat 5 cable.

OK @DUFFERS

If a reboot will not start it it looks like it may have failed.

Have you checked the two satellite cable connections in the back of the box ?

If not turn off the power to the Q box and check the cable connectors are not loose.

Is anything blocking the signal to your dish, trees in the wind for example?
