Sky soundbox remote control, universal replacement

Hi I've lost my sky soundbox remote control and Sky tell me they no longer sell them. Does anyone know if a universal control would work with the box and if they would what type of remote do I need to buy?

Have you asked Sky if they still have any replacement Soundbox remotes ?

They have sold out of Soundboxes but worth asking about remotes (£13.99 I think )

Yes I ordered one in July and it just never turned up and have had to speak to 4 different people to finally be told they no longer sell the sound boxes or the remotes. She just suggested a universal remote so I thought maybe someone more technical than me could tell me what kind to get. Thanks for the reply

I was chatting elsewhere with @bob1234 a Sky forum pal who reminded me that if under two years old and bought from Sky you should be entitled to a refund / part refund for a non working Soundbox.

If you decided to ask - maybe Sky might even part refund you for a faulty remote.

Tou sourced a remote control for me for my soundbox and asked me to let you know how it was. It was delivered quickly and works fine with my sound box, it's a little slow to respond and sometimes need I need to double click on the buttons but there are buttons for up and down volume and also buttons that change from blue tooth etc. You can also sync sound to the picture, not sure what that's called. Basically match voices to mouth movements. Hope this helps
