Sky VIP Worthless

Not impressed with Sky VIP. I have been with them a very long time, and the offers are very poor. I never feel like a valued customer. Just seem to be taken for granted. I don't even get Netflix with my account, even though that seems standard now.

Netflix is an additional add-on, it isn't standard. You may by signing up through sky get a discount of a pound or euro or two for the first year but it is not standard.

VIP is nothing more than a marketing gimmick which gives the illusion that you're somehow better than others.

You're not. Sky just want your money, they don't care if you've been with them for two years or twenty.

@fizzdisco to be fair I've had some decent offers from SkyVIP more to do with subscription, discounted multiroom for one.

Are you signed up to SkyVIP or have you never bothered?

@mitchellreidIt does not give much but costs less as it is free, I have had a couple of movies from it. None of the competitions have interested me.

Oh I'm a diamond apparently. 15+ years. Pointless competitions that every subscriber can enter, horrendously over-subscribed movie screenings in dreadful retail park cinemas, and subscription 'benefits' that can be easily negotiated without any VIP status.

It's a free marketing gimmick. Nothing more.

Absolutely, it's probably the most useless rewards scheme ever. I just got a message from them listing my ViP rewards. Total of one - the movie I got free when I signed up. Says it all really.

They also congratulated me for bing with them snmce 2014 - although I have had sky continuously since 1992. Seems when you move they start you again!
