Roaming Charges

Hi there,

I bought an iPhone 13 about a week ago before my holiday. I am currently on holiday. I was told Roaming would be free and that I can make calls to local UK numbers so I can stay in touch with my family.

Little did I know I have been charged for the past for days. Each time I have made a call it has turned on and charged me for roaming.

I was told the wrong information and now my bill is £47 instead of £39. Is there anything we can do? I was told I go by the same contracted information as I do back in the UK. This is insane. I can't use my phone at all. If I had known I would have stopped this contract as soon as possible.

If you believe you were incorrectly advised, give Sky a call and ask them to listen to the recording of the phone call. Ask them how it can be,put right, if the call recording confirms poor advice.

From what you have said it does sounds like you were incorrectly advised as roaming starts as soon as you make a call, send a text or use mobile data so if you are going to make a complaint make sure you let them know the date and time of youyr call so they can listen to what was said to you if needs be.

It was in person. At the Sky store in Westfield Stratford City.

You will have been sent an email as part of your agreement which included info about charges/roaming etc. This is in the key facts we send out.

So whilst unfortunately you may have been misinformed by someone, it is in the T&C email.
