Phone bill!

I am currently in Dubai, I turned off mobile data and have only used the hotel Wi-Fi for text or calls.

why do I have a bill for £200+ ????

i am extremely upset and confused as I have followed advice to turn off mobile data

Hi @Lou.1981 WiFi calling doesn't work outside the UK so your calls are routed via the local network, this is from the sky WiFi calling page.

"Wi-Fi calling is only available in the UK.

If you try using it abroad, your phone will use the normal mobile signal and you'll be charged your normal roaming rate (if applicable)."

My husband is in the US. He turned his mobile data off and roaming off once he boarded the plane at Heathrow, but he keeps being charged £6 for bolt ons. How is this possible? The only time he uses his phone is wifi in the hotel on WhatApp. Can anyone explain why this is happening?

Has he looked at his phone's settings to see if you can see what if anything is using mobile data ?

Yeah he's looked. No charges were made between the 19th and 28th, then again on the 30th.
