Downgrading package

Hi we are nearly out of contract. We pay £71 a month for sky sports, entertainment, sports hd and hd tv. I mainly watch basic channels on sky so want rid of entertain package. Can we only have sky sports and get basic free channels through our sky q? I see Now tv offer just £25 a month for entertainment and sports + boost.

@Theresa40 You're not talking to Sky we are all customer here, you need to call them to discuss you packages https://www.sky.com/help/articles/change-your-package-2

Any premium Sky channel (e.g. Sport/Movies) needs a base TV package. Entertainment has now been replaced with Signature.

On Sky Q if you don't have a base TV package then you have to return the box.

Call Sky to discuss the options but as you will almost certainly be asked to update to Signature an offer should be forthcoming for a new minimum term.

Via Sky Q or + this is not possible I'm afraid.

Ok, it's not 100% clear what ideas you're after. But one option is to convert to Freeview/Freesat for your terrestial needs - you may need to consider if you want timeshift/record?

Then use NowTV with a subscription for your Sky channel needs?

I only watch basic tv as we have Netflix for other things. Hubby uses Sky Sports for F1 only. It's annoying we pay for all sports channels for just the one.

Simply because it belongs to Sky. If you've cancelled your subscription they'll want it back.

This is primarily a forum for customers to help other customers, so you aren’t speaking with Sky Customer Services and Sky won’t contact you as the result of your post on here.
You’ll need to contact Sky to cancel all or reduce part of your TV package and give the required notice of 31 days. This link should help https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv
If you’re in the UK it should include a Message Us option between 0900-1930.
If you’re in the ROI it’s only by calling or writing in.
If you're still within a minimum term you may not be able to cancel until that has ended.
