    <description>@Anonymous you cannot cancel/reduce your package online - you need to phone them. I would agree that it is unfair as you can add/increase your package online - but them's sky's rules (presumably all detailed in the contract small print)</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Really frustrating in being able to contact Sky, what a joke that there is a technical fault and you can't ring them. You send an email and it says it no longer use that and directs you to your My Sky. I want to reduce my cost on my monthly charges so cancel some of my packages that I no longer want but can't find how to do it. If I want to add extra packages then that's easy just tick a box why can't I untick a box to cancel??&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Otherwise you can use this link:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.sky.com/help/home" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.sky.com/help/home&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;(Customers in the UK) - Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides an 0333 number.&lt;BR /&gt;(Customers in the ROI) - on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag then scroll down to obtain an 0818 number.&lt;BR /&gt;Apparently the lines are sometimes quieter just after 7am or about 9pm so maybe worth trying then. Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Diniel, I don't have sky mobile and tried the 0333 number, but they just said their is a technical fault.       <description>&lt;P&gt;It should not be necessary to persevere for 40 minutes or longer. Sky appear to go out of their way to make it difficult to cancel the TV package. I have had enough of Sky treating us with contempt so I am leaving.&amp;nbsp; The "how to cancel" gives no phone number, E mail or hyperlinks to initiate the cancellation.&amp;nbsp; I have better things to do with my time than wait for an under resourced for profit reasons call centre to respond whilst racking up landline phone charges for Sky profits. I have sent a paper letter to minimise my&amp;nbsp; costs to the price of a postage stamp. I will cancel the direct debit regardless if whether Sky contact me or not about the cancellation.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Now that you've written to Sky I believe they will still need to speak to you verbally to go through the security questions etc.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Stopping your direct debit too quickly won't necessarily work. You could incur fees for non/late payment, potentially get a bad credit score and have debt collectors writing to you, or even worse knocking on your door.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It doesn't help. The link you posted is what I was referring to in their "How to&amp;nbsp; ......." Online material.&amp;nbsp; Using their messaging eventually gets to a phone number when you could be on hold for an eternity. I wouldn't have posted my comment if I hadn't tried this route already.&amp;nbsp; As it happens I sent an Email again to mysky@sky.com and this time, it didn't bounce.&amp;nbsp; I got an autoacknowledge return message with a case reference number.&amp;nbsp; They don't tell you that in their online&amp;nbsp; help.&amp;nbsp; I told them in the Email which included my account number that I had already written to them and to treat the E mail as further confirmation of cancellation. So fingers crossed. At least I have evidence that they have my cancellation in their system now.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
