Or is the picture poor immediately you turn on ?

The reason I ask these very specific questions is that if the picture is OK to start with, when you turn on your Sky box and bedroom tv from standby but then deteriorates over minutes or longer it's likely to be because of a fault with your Sky box.

If the picture is poor immediately you turn on your Sky box from standby and your bedroom tv, it may have a different cause.

A lot (most) of new tv's don't have one. Without one it can't tune in to the analog Sky signal being sent via the RF Output.

The new TV is LG and does not appear to have an analogue tuner. It comes up to select Antenna DTV or Antenna TV. We tried retuning but no luck. Just to clarify we have a Satellite aerial and a analogue aerial. The main new TV is receiving SKY fine but not pushing the signal to all the other TVs in the house so no Sky in other rooms. We tried tuning in the the other TVs as well. Thank you for all your advice.

@webby1957 wrote:

That you can't tune your new tv into your Sky box's RF output doesn't matter if you're able to watch Sky on that tv, presumably by its HDMI connection to your Sky box.

It shouldn't have anything to do with the problem with the other TVs as they don't rely on your main tv.

However you may have disturbed the wiring behind the tv when you installed the new tv, so first check that the coax cable in your Sky box's RF2 socket is still pushed firmly home.

Thankyou for all the help. We have managed to get SKY on another TV but the picture is terrible. Its the same RF channel output we used before the new TV which was 24 and worked fine. I presume then we have to change this to see what signal is best to push the signal through to the other tv and retune it

The main TV connected to the sky box is perfect. The TV in the Kitchen & bedroom always had a good picture, then over time in started to deteriorate until it is just fuzz. I tried to re tune the analogue several times with no success.

Bedroom & kitchen sky not working immediately you turn them on. Cable goes from RF out up to the attic then distributed from there. The freeview picture is perfect on all the TV's. This has worked perfectly for years.

To further narrow down the possibilites, is the distributor in the attic an amplified splitter, or an unpowered passive splitter?

And is the Freeview feed from your TV aerial also distributed via the splitter? Or does the aerial cable plug into your Sky box's aerial/RF In socket?

Yes, the "in" feed is the aerial into the sky box & the "out" feed takes everything back up to the attic and distributes it all.

Assuming all your co-ax runs and terminations are good, try selecting a different UHF channel for your Sky Box RF2 out. As the the terrestrial TV bandwidth becomes more and more congested with digital TV multiplexes you need to find a 'gap' where your local RF signal does not overlap and and conflict with the ever changing Freeview selection. Bit of trial and error involved but should be fixable.
