Unbelievable behaviour by Sky today. Last night when watching a rugby match the screen went blue and a message appeared saying viewing card unauthorised. When I rang Sky it was out of hours because I had been trying online solutions and nothing worked. It took three telephone calls this morning to connect to a person and not an automated service.

When I did get through, no help. I was told that because I had ordered Sky Q my card was disabled. I was staggered.

I ordered Sky Q in December, and engineer called, assessed the house, the internet speed and he told me that because my internet speed was so slow that I could not hvae Sky Q, it would provide a poor service compared to now. He was to cancel the order. I also rang Sky to cancel that order. All noted, now there is a problem. Service yesterday 2nd April, now no service. I did nothing wrong. Sky say they are going to send out a new card in 3-5 working days!! which means, they will post the card between 8th and 12th April. So, for a week no service, all unique sports events gone, Golf Masters gone.

I am supposed to be happy with this.

I was told I could watch Sky Go on my tablet, excuse me!

My account says I am a Diamond customer, I now assume that this means a person who can be charged what Sky want to and take your time with the service. I am so disappointed that I foolishly thought better of Sky.

The card that worked yesterday cannot be re-authorised, I am told.

Does anyone know of a workaround.

If you were not sent a new viewing card when you ordered Sky Q then you will need to request a new one from Sky if they are not sending you one already.

If you received a Viewing Card for your aborted Sky Q order, you can use it, but that aside I'm afraid there's no workaround.
