If you do, make sure you get a DRX890 or DRX895 model and make sure that you get one with the RF2 output for the magic eye unless your current box uses the separate IO link connector.

Sky + HD box Hard Disk Drive fault

My Sky+HD box is nearly 10 years old. I haven't been able to record anything and watch another channel for a long time which is fine but now I can no longer rewind, pause or access my planner due to a system fault with the Hard Disk Drive. Many reboots have not fixed this and it now takes a while to just change the channel. I am reluctant to go to SkyQ as we have open plan living room, kitchen/diner and have the same Sky programmes on 2 TVs through a Sky Magic Eye. I am aware that SkyQ does not have the RF output and that there as a slight time lag between the main SkyQ box and the multi room box. Is there any alternative to Magic Eye on SkyQ so that both TVs have exactly the same picture and sound at the same time. Thanks in advance 😉👍 Lou x

Says there's a problem with my hard disk drive.

Everything was fine yesterday but an automatic Sky update/upgrade happened overnight.

Is it just a coincidence that my Sky box now doesn't work ???

Thanks

Soo

Try a planner rebuild, Instructions can be found in my FAQ (Q02)

If you get the error message diskless mode then the explanation can be found in my FAQ (Q14) also

Note: This procedure will resolve many non-planner related issues as it does a safe reboot of the Sky box

Thanks everyone for your replies. I've already tried all of the reboots and rebuilds in @Annie+UK response, nothing fixes it 😩 I have rang who were very helpful and a Sky engineer coming next week with a refurbished HD box. Hopefully get another few years out of it!
