Signal or tv problem?

Hi 👋

my mother-in-law has a sky box but only watches freeview channels through it. She was having a problem with the picture signal. She called out a company to resolve the issue and they said that the problem was bushes near the dish that were stopping the signal (she lives in a bungalow and the dish is at soffit height). He put a new dish on her chimney and that appears to have sorted the picture problem. However when she goes onto the TV guide it is bearly readable and he told her that it is because she needs a new tv. Is this the case as the program picture is perfect. Any ideas what's causing this? I would assume it's still a signal problem but then I'm only a lowly chippie.

It doesn't look like a problem with the signal from the dish, which usually results in the picture breaking up into coloured squares. More like a problem with the output from the box. Check by going to the Settings > Signal menu, where the satellite signal strength is reported. I'm guessing the box and tv are connected by scart cable, so I'd try replacing that first.
