Pixelation problem on channel 401 only and any other sports channel linked to it.

When watching sport on 401 the picture freezes and breaks up into pixels for short periods of time. It will then sort itself out for between a few seconds and a few minutes then starts again. This also materialises on any chanel linked to it, ie for the open golf 401 and the golf chanel. This is very frustrating. My dish is slightly rusty but not overly so. It does not affect any other chanel that I can make out. Help please.

Best to call Sky and book an engineer. It's probably the result of a slight dish misalignment or possibly a failing LNB (the bit on the arm), especially if it's more than 5 or so years old. They'll be able,to pinpoint the cause and fix it.

Hi We have had the same issue. We are getting sky out to investigate this issue. I thought I was the only one with issue.

Signal issues do happen. The dish may move slightly. Neither LNBs (on the dish arm) nor cables last forever. Trees grow and can impinge on the line of sight between the dish and the satellite. You're right to book an engineer who will pinpoint the problem.

Just had the engineer out and confirmed it was a national issue and it was a problem in our area. They had swapped the connections out and its now working.

The entire country gets the same signal from the satellites, the only things that affects individual areas/regions are weather conditions or obstructions (affecting smaller areas)

Specifically, a problem with your dish setup.

There cannot be variations in reception locally, or regionally or nationally for the reasons @Annie+UK posted.
