Live pause not avaliable and cant record

Two nights ago my sky+ decided to start playing up out of the blue. My recordings failed, I cant watch anything on planner, and cant pause TV. I've done the rebuild and the reset and its still not working. I've checked all the connections, re-inserted the viewing card, I'm at a complete loss! The other sky boxes in the house are still working fine, just mine. Cant believe I did the system reset, lost all recordings and it still hasn't fixed it. Many thanks in advance.

From your description, it sounds as though the hard drive has failed.

Thank you for the response - Does this mean I need a new sky box do you think? Or is there a way to fix it?

Yes, you'll need a replacement box. I'm not sure if Sky are still replacing Sky+ boxes. There are no new Sky+ boxes now, the last ones having been manufactured around 5 years ago, so a Sky replacement will be a refurbished box. Sky will doubtless urge you to upgrade to Sky Q anyway - which might be worth you considering at this point. Alternatively you could buy a used box from ebay etc.
