sky Q +hd+

We have just taken delivery and istallation of sky Q and this is a 2 part question.

firstly the new sky Q box was very hard to get it to come on this morning as had trouble booting up from its sleep last night.

we now have a sky + hd box spare and wonder as we had a hybrid LNB fitted will this work in a bedroom as all the cables are there and connected to the dish via the hybrid LNB but wonder do we leave the old viewing card in and would the record function still work, i only ask as it seems a waste of a good box, so can you tell me what will work on the old sky + box with or without viewing card and how to get the new sky Q box to wake up from its night slumber.

You'll only be able to view the freesat channels on your old Sky+ box as the viewing card will have been cancelled

@heather135 @If you have eco mode turned on your Sky Q box's standby settings, it will automatically 'wake,up' at around 5.45am.

If it's inconvenient, change your standby settings to a different mode.
