Should i be able to view all SKY channels listed

New dish and SKY+ box installed a week. Cant view half the channels listed as keeps saying insert your SKY viewing card. Surely the engineer will have done this. I can see some Freeview type channels but no SKY ones. Is this right. I cant see a card anywhere. I did hand it to him when he arrived. I cannot get hold of anyone at Customer Services.

You need a viewing card in the box which is usually under the flap at the bottom right at the front of it, if he has took your card with him in error then you will need a replacement so give Sky a call about this if it is not in the box.

If you have Sky+ check the flap on the front-bottom-right of the box, the viewing card slot is behind this

Thanks for your help. I think he has taken it with him. It's taken a week to figure this out and Customer Services are not easy to get a hold of just now i will keep trying.

Seems incredible that the engineer didn't check that subscription channels were working during set up.

He showed me how to access the channel list and I scrolled down the first 2 channels, BBC1 and 2. I didnt bother scrolling down any further as I assumed all channels would be available to me. He was rather grumpy as he had to fit the dish up un the rain. Hey Ho. Will attempt Customer Services tomorrow as lost the will to live with it just now. Hey Ho.

I had a 35 minute call with Customer Services the result if which I will now be sent a new viewing card. I was unable to get the Asian lady to understand that both BBC and ITV are Wales when live in Midlands/South Yorkshire area. But am hoping the viewing card will sort that out. Thanks for all the advice i have been given.
