Cannot tell if Wifi is working

I am a new sky mobile customer, and now that my new phone has set itself up, it is showing 4G but not any wifi signal in the top of my iphone 13, although in the settings there is a tick next to the wifi for my home.

Is this right? Is it because both are Sky or is something wrong? I don't want to use all my data when I have wifi available.

In your phones settings try turning mobile data off as your phone should default to a Wi-Fi connection.

I tried that, and tried turning the router off and on. No Wi-Fi connection even though the tick is there on the settings

As well as there being a tick you should also see your Wi-Fi name so do you see this otherwise it might be your phone has connected to another Wi-Fi connection and not yours.
