My old Mac Mini ran my Sky go app really well. Since getting the new M1 it keeps giving me the error code PFE 9903 and suggests I'm using video capture software (I'm not and never would). Anyone out there that can help me solve this? Thanks

Is not always video capture software that can cause this error as anything running in the background that can grab images or sound can also stop the app from working so I would take a look at what is running and try stopping anything you think could be running that can capture sound and images.

Thanks - but there are hundreds of apps running in the background. Without going through every one individually it'll take forever. Does anyone know of an obvious or quick fix? What about 'screenshot?' Does this effect the App - and if so how is it turned off on a Mac?

Same. New Mac Mini M1 replacing an old MBP 2014. Sky Go ran perfectly on the old one but I am being blocked with this error message on the new one.

I did use Mac screenshot on the old Mac, Sky Go would always stop when I started screenshot, but I currently don't have screenshot running, nor any background apps that would grab stuff off the screen.

Have you solved this one @Hugh+Jarrs yet?

Hi, After a lot of faffing about, I gradually closed down everything that appeared to be running in the background. It looks like it was iMovie that was the culprit as SkyGo runs without any problems now. If you have Adobe Photoshop open it won't let you run SkyGo either. I'm happy enough to shut them down, but the whole point of it running is so that I can get on with my other work whilst SkyGo plays in the background. I do appreciate it is intended to stop copies and pirate stuff, but I really wouldn't have the first clue how to do that anyway and I'm guessing all the pirate thieves have easy ways around this stuff?

Guess I'll have to do the same, gradullay work through everything that's running in the background. I don't use iMovie or Adobe Photoshop so it won't be those. I do use Mac sreen grab a lot, but that's closed unless I am actually grabbing stuff off the screen (and on my old Mac Sky Go would just stop playing if I ever opened screen grab). So annoying!

I use the screenshot app on the new Mac and as far as I can see it doesn't seem to effect SkyGo. I used it in the same way on the old Mac too. If you have Adobe in any format running I'd have a close look at that. I shut down all adobe stuff and logged out of my account, then re-booted the Mac. I have many Adobe apps within my subscription, so it could have been any one of them too. If you have any other apps of a similar nature installed see if shutting them down helps, and good luck!

Hey so. I just encountered this issue and I too found it was a background task in the activity monitor linked to screen capture / iOS Screen Capture Assistant that you'd use for screenshots etc. I closed all associated tasks and now Sky Go plays just fine.
