Skygo on Chromebook hangs on sports channels

Hi - I have an Asus C302 and over the last month I can only watch a few channels on Skygo.

Sky Witness, Atlantic Max & Comedy work fine.

ITV, Channel 4, Gold crash the app.

Sky Sports, Eurosport & BT Sport make the app hang before a message pops up stating it isn't responding and I close the app. If I choose to send feedback the same message appears on the screen before I can add any info.

Chrome is Version 97.0.4692.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Skygo is Version 22.2

Is this a known thing or has anyone had similar issues with a Chromebook?

UPDATE:

I've just discvovered that it will not play on demand content either.

It will play 3 minutes worth of adverts first though before it just hangs

I have two Chromebooks and both were fine until this last OS update, now neither will play Sky Sports Cricket, both quit the app.

Works fine on my phone.

Not ideal

I have been watching skygon my hp chromebook for over a month with no problem. I have had my contract renewed with sky and now can't watch sky go as it opens and crashes as soon as I click on something to watch

It will not be fixed overnight but if you send an email to the apps team they will hopefully look into this for you - apps@sky.uk

I have emailed apps@sky.uk and this is the response. I have replied asking why I have to speak to Google Help Centre if sky have a team working on the issue.

We all know Google state it is the vendors responsibility to ensure compatibility:

I understand from your email that you are facing issues with your Sky Go as you are unable to use it on your chromebook and wish to resolve this issue.

I wish to inform that there is a known issue with viewing Sky Go on your Chromebook due to the recent update of Google's OS Version.

However, customer using chromebook are facing problems with Sky Go, and I can confirm that this is under investigation and our relevant teams are currently working on it.

Hence, you need to contact Google Help Centre directly in order to investigate this further and resolve the ongoing issue completely.

I appreciate your patience and understanding in this regards.
