Discovery plus app is missing

Has any one else noticed that the discovery plus app is missing

Plenty have, this is because the app is being updated so will return in a few hours or you can try a box reboot to try and get it to return quicker. You will be logged out when it does return so will need to do this:

Follow the instructions you see onscreen when launching the Discovery+ app
Select log in
You'll be taken to the screen with the activation code and a new URL link for Discovery which is discoveryplus.com/link
Log on to your Discovery+ account
Enter the activation code - this will activate your Sky Q box/Sky Glass

The instructions are not working. You try to login to discovery plus.com/link and it disappears.

Mine has reappeard went missing yesterday and now i cant sign in at all it isnt accpeting any codes.

@Shelby7915 have you tried the following

The app is on the main Sky Q box but missing from the mini sky q boxes, I've rebooted everything but the app is still missing, any ideas?

@KBB001 you could try refreshing the apps in the engineers menu

To enter the engineers menu do the follow
press the home button then scroll down to setting and hi-light
do not press select/enter but press 001 then select this takes you into the engineers menu

scroll down to apps > refresh

@KBB001 it can take up to 24 hours for the app refresh to work but normally works a lot quicker try rebooting the main box and the mini now ou have done a refresh

TAKEN FROM DISCOVERY +

To login in to your discovery+ account on your Sky set top box, please follow these steps:

Open the discovery+ app on your Sky set top box, click on “login” and have the pairing code ready.
On a smartphone, tablet or PC's web browser go to the discovery+ website, discoveryplus.com/gb and login into your account.
Then on the web browser, open https://auth.discoveryplus.com/gb/link
You will then be taken to the device pairing page.
Once you have entered the code it will confirm that it has been accepted and you will then be logged in on your Sky set top box.

If you experience any issues with this, please try restarting your set top box and/or updating the software on your set top box by clicking on this link: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-box-problems/ and following the suggested steps. Once you have completed these steps, then please try the login steps above once more.

I have the same problem as above. The Discovery+ app is available on the main Sky Q box but not on the mini.

@JLTyler have you tried rebooting you main box then the mini box ? have you trjed refreshing the apps in the engineers menu

Can’t log into Discovery + and before you say reboot etc etc ... I’m not a technophobe tried everything still won’t work, funnily enough the version on my phone I pay for loaded without a problem !!!!!

@Obardheathain what messages or what is happening when you try to log in on the Sky box

I have the discovery+ app on my main sky q box and i have 3 x mini boxes, only 2 mini boxes have the discovery+ app installed & working fine, the 3rd mini box was new from sky approx 7 days ago & i get the " we are sorry, this app isn't available" message.

I have tried refreshing the apps (this got my second mini box working instantly) and re starting the main / mini box as advised in this post, but no joy, i have reported this to sky & will update this post with the outcome.

I know it's not a big issueas as i have the app on 2 out of 3 mini boxes, i am simply puzzled, why the new mini box doesn't have the app!!
