Sky Discovery Plus cancel

Hi guys my Sky TV subscription has expired yesterday and I have not renewed however I also signed up for the 12 month free discovery + offer that was available.

Am I right in thinking after the 12 months it will automatically cancel and not auto renew or do I need to contact Sky to get it cancelled?

Any help would be much appreciated.

What happens at the end of the 12 month offer?

At the end of your 12 month offer, you can decide if you want to continue with discovery+ on a paid subscription with Sky. If you don't want to continue your subscription, you will lose access at the end of the 12 months. Don't worry, we won't automatically enrol you onto a paid subscription.

@ramz Sky contracts do not expire once the fixed term ends so unless you have cancelled by calling Sky you will continue to be billed. You have to give a months notice..

Hiya there

I have cancelled my sky tv services and broadband back in July as I am not with Sky anymore and its all cancelled but the Discovery Plus I can access as I had that for 12months free VIP, it expires in December 2021 will this automatically cancel? As I am not with sky anymore it wont auto renew will it?

I am trying to call Sky to cance it but not been able to! Is it best to let it run its course in December and then let sky know I dont want it?

Discovery + doesn't renew unless you go online and setup a new subscription.

My free Discovery plus 12 months ended in December. I have have tried to subscribe vis their website but been told I have to renew through Sky. In turn Sky have told me I have to subscribe through Discovery's on website! Any advice folks? Thanks.

@DCO2212 trying to get info on Discovery Plus is near impossible from Sky unfortunatley and I would perhaps try using a differnet email address when subscribing directly from Discovery Plus. I know its a bit awkward but its easier to do that then keep going between the two companies.

Renewing Discovery + is easy issue is you cannot watch it through sky Q app as they have not sorted that out. You would think before getting people to do a 12 month trial they would have had it on place before the trial ended. Easy way to alienate a large number of people.

Follow the instructions you see onscreen when launching the Discovery+ app on your Q box

Select log in

You'll be taken to the screen with the activation code and a new URL link for Discovery which is https://auth.discoveryplus.com/gb/link you need to do this part on your mobile, tablet, laptop etc

Log on to your Discovery+ account

Enter the activation code - this will activate your Sky Q box/Sky Glass
