Problems with Sci Q Catchup downloading

When trying to download any programme on Catch up., the download takes a very long time. It says its ready to watch but then it stops to say needs to download more.

This is driving us crazy. Can anyone help.

What speed is your broadband? Is your Q box connected via WiFi or ethernet?

I don't know the speed of my broadband. Yes, it's connected to Wi Fi.

It would be wise to find out what your broadband speed is because it is crucial to being able to download content to your box at speed.

If you have Netflix on your Q box you can run a network test by selecting the Get Help option on the Netflix menu then clicking on Check Your Network. This will show you what speed is being received by your Q box.

That's very slow. Who is your broadband supplier? You should check what speed you are paying for.

Is your broadband router close to your Sky Q box? Can you try connecting them directly with ethernet cable?

What broadband package are you paying for? Superfast? If so then you should be getting faster speeds than you currently are.

Hi, no it's not near it. We don't have an ethernet cable. There is no phone connection box near the Sky Q box so we can't connect it there.

Do you have a broadband speed test app on a mobile phone that you could use to test what speeds you are getting on WiFi in the same room as your Q box? Or a laptop?

If your WiFi speed is slow across all devices then you should call Sky to investigate your line. Superfast should not be as slow as the speeds you are receiving. They may be able to supply you with a booster.

I have just done a test. It's said 3.2. I thought we had a booster already. Will check it.
