House move

Hi.
so I split with my partner and got myself a new house within days. I've started the move process but she won't give me back the equipment. Any ideas what I need to do

@Daddymarx If it's because she doesn't want you in the property ask a mutual friend or family member to collect it on your behalf.

No it's a point blank refusal.
when I left I allowed her to keep the system while I found a place and got set up.

I've now done that but because she pays ina Evan e she wants to keep it until next payment due. Fair cop on that but I told her I would help her get her own account I just want my account so I don't get stung with fees or lose my extensive loyalty bonuses

@Daddymarx I guess if she will still not return the boxes to you after the next payment is due then your only option would be to go to either a solicitor or the police, the only problem is that if your account is still registered to that address then technically thats where the boxes etc should be so possible contact Sky and explain you have moved get your account changes to your new address as you are the account holder you would need to set up a payment method from your own account then there can be no argument as she is then not paying for the subscription.

I think you need to contact Sky and arrange a home move so that your account (and VIP benefits) transfer over to you. Arrange this for the day that your ex has paid in advance up until, then she will have to hand over the equipment.

You should also be able to arrange for a new installation and new account at your ex's address on that day so that she can get her own new box installed and won't miss out on anything. You'll need to sort out the billing which I assume would be in her name now as it will be her account only. You can't have two Sky Q accounts running with the same billing details as far as I know.

@Daddymarx If you contact the police, and they have an officer free, at the very most they will go with you (not on your behalf), and be there purely to prevent a breach of the peace whilst you collect the equipment.
