Get Peacock on Sky Q

I have a Sky Q box and I have found the App for peacock however when I click on the app I get the available shows which when I click on one I get the option to watch I then get the error message “to use this service you need to upgrade your subscription”. I have gone to settings, setup, preferences and changed the default download format from HD to SD but this made no difference. Can anyone offer another solution. My Sky Q box was fitted at the beginning of December 2021.

Are you able to download any other content (e.g. from Catch up or On demand) ?

Hi @nigea99 the answer to your question is no I can not view anything on catchup and only netflix on demand as I get the same message to upgrade.

I have escalated your post to Sky who will be in touch with you tomorrow regarding this via a blue chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Hi @Lardybut unfortunately it seems you are suffering from a problem which affects some new customers when trying to download.

I see that @caesarome has escaleted your post so hopefully someone will be in contact - although not sure how long it will take over the New Year holiday

Good point @nigea99 as I had forgotten about that so you will not be contacted tomorrow @Lardybut but will be on Sunday instead via the blue chat bubble.

Hi @nigea99 and @caesarome and @Lisa-P1987 thank you for your assistance however having tried methods already posted as fixes, which did not work, I now find I am unable to use the bubble for a chat with Sky, having sent my messages all I get is an error message stating Sky unable to connect try again. I’m sure I can live without the full use, for which I am paying, of the Sky Q box.

Hi @Lisa-P1987 @caesarome @nigea99 My TV package is the Essentials package which lets you access free-to-air channels however Peacock isn't included with this as it isn't a channel but part of the On Demand Sky content which is available to all Sky TV customers that have the Signature package. To get peacock and Roxi will I need to pay an additional £26, current offer on Sky web page for Signature package, on top of the £25 I am currently paying for Essentials package so new total £51 a month?

E@Lardybut you would not pay for Essentials AND Signature. You would move from Essentials to Signature. So your TV pack would be £26 /month for the Signature pack which gives you access to all of the catch up as well as box sets.
