Sky q box turning on and off on start up

When I turn My sky Q box on it will turn itself on and off on start up. On for 5 seconds then off for 5 seconds. This can last for up to half an hour. Tried every possible troubleshoot online. Only used to do it for a couple minutes but now it's half an hour everytime

Hi @Ditch90

Assume that you have tried turning off HDMI Control

in Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual?

Try a Reset Settings in the hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
Press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

@Ditch90 have you tried a re-boot of the box ie unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds then plugging it back in again.

if that doesnt work you could try a reset in the hidden menu to get to that press home scroll down to settings hi-light but don't press enter then press 0 0 1 then enter scroll down to reset only do the first reset you will need to re-pair the remote control again

Hi thanks for your quick replies! Just as I posted this I found the part on turning hdmi control off which Ive now done. It did turn on and off again for a few minutes and now stayed on so hopefully that has sorted it now. Can't test it because I need my TV turned off for a couple hours before it plays up again so will let you know. Failing that I'll try the hidden reset. Thanks all

It appears likely your tv is causing the issue?

my sky q box keeps flashing from grey screen to picture back an forwards constantly ive removed the plug from the back and its still the same any ideas ?
