Layout change

Went into recordings today, pressed most recent then went to programme I wanted to see. Layout has changed from episodes going downwards with details and going right for watch from start, delete etc to programmes scrolling right with delete etc underneath. Has this been done by sky

Wasn't keen at first, was just getting used to it, and this morning it's gone back to the old layout.

Yes they have spotted something they want to investigate with the latest Q170 software running on the original 2TB boxes (32b0xx) so they have temporarily rolled back to Q160 - no idea of timescales

I prefer the new layout so it was bit of a suprise this morning to see it back the old way

Nothing will change on your box. You have a 1tb box, not the 2tb box they're rolling the software back on.

Hope they don't go back to the new format. I did not like it at all. Kept deleting programmes by mistake. But no doubt they will change it - who cares what the customer thinks these days...

@Julinpa Having viewed various threads on the update I think the comments on the new style layout of recordings are about 50/50. Don't forget most customers still have the new Sky Q170 software. It's only us with a V1 box that have been reverted back to Q160.

When they have found the issues with Q170 release on the v1 2TB it will get changed to the new layout again, I am afraid

Personally I fall into the 'I prefer the new format' camp - I actually found I delete less episodes by mistake as well as others aspects I prefer

The Q170 to Q160 rollback also includes 1st gen mini boxes.

I HATE the new layout. Particularly if u have say a weeks worth of episodes.

The number of times i have had to "undelete" is ridiculous. Its so hard to see that u r on delete button rather than "play" episode.

Only a very fjne border that is lighter distinguishes them from each other. It was better before when "delete "was on a side menu in plain text, rather than in a box under each episode. And once u have deleted the one u have just watched, it stays on delete for nex episode, rather than moving up to play next one.

When I am on the program/movie I want to watch, I see the play icon in the center of the thumbnail. When I am on delete, I see that the background is a darker shade of blue. I find this very easy to see which I am on.

Not all 1st gen minis - it's possible they rolled them back if connected to a v1 2TB box, but others haven't been.

My mini is connected to a V3 2TB box. I did try to update it three times and it's still on Q160.
