There have been a number of reports of the Rugby buffering yesterday which tends to imply bandwidth issues somewhere between Amazon's servers and the box.

This indicates the problem is with SkyQ not the reasons you suggest.

@Ecosse posted a screenshot of 72 Mbps - but didn't say he had buffering problems as you would hope with a good broadband.

it may be that the problem manifests itself where broadband is at a lower rate than that?

i was not at home, watching at my local club - several buffering issues, but I would suspect the broadband speed is nowhere near as high as 72 Mbps (through a proprietary box).

i have posted (last week) that I watch through a Roku box rather than SkyQ as the Prime app on SkyQ is not reliable.

it is definitely a SkyQ issue - as shown by people having a better experience through other boxes rather than their SkyQ box.

I should have said, I always use the TV app as the picture and audio quality are far better than those on the Sky box. This is across apps, including Disney+.

When I do use the mini upstairs, there's no buffering on the box but there's a whole contention to take in to consideration here.

I wonder if Sky Glass allows for 5Ghz connections? If so, why? And why not via Sky Q?

i don't think this was anthing to do with Apps

watching this afternoon's Wales game through my Roku box - no problems at all.

it is definitely a SkyQ problem that Sky need to resolve.

@Raider999 Q180 will be rolled out to all boxes in fact is should have been rolled out to all boxes on 9th November all it contains are some minor changes from what Sky have told us

I don't have Q180 on my mini or Q box.. Is there any reason I havn'tgotten Q180 yet? Q is runnong Q170 and mini is runnng Q160.

perhaps it's been delayed as I said i'm not at home and haven't been for well over a week

Tring to watch Prime live football on my Samsung Q75, watching on the Sky Q App, terrible lighting on the TV, Oscillating brightness from normal to ultra bright., every 4 or 5 seconds. 1gb Internet connection, both to the Sky Q box and the Samsung TV. Couldn't watch it, went to my back LG 65" TV, on a sky mini box on WiFi, watching the prime live football, flawless no problems. Half time, went back to my Samsung, turned Prime on through my TV... repeat... TV remote and the live football was perfect. There are no issues of watching Films or TV shows on either TV through the Sky Prime Apps. Just the live football on the Sky Prime App on the Samsung. Weird. A friend in the next street has exactly the same problem! Makes one wonder if Sky are jealously putting a spanner in the works! 🤔
