hi @AgiMc as mini boxes work at HD max then I would expect 8-10Mb to be sufficient.

I suspect that even though you have powerlink it might still be trying to connect via wifi

I am not an expert in this are so other will likely suggest better options (especially as you are with SKY) but to force it to connect via your Powerline go into the engineer's menu by doing the following sequence

Press Home

Scroll down to Settings (don't press enter/select at this point)

Press 0 0 1 in sequence

Press enter/select

You should then have the option to switch off the wifi (both 2.4 & 5Ghz)

This does of course stop the mini acting as a hotspot so another approach will be better (but as I say others can , hopefully advise you for that)

Hi,

I'm trying to connect a new multiroom mini box in a chalet next door to the main house which has a sky Q box and sky fibre broadband.

The main issue is the TP Link power line adaptor is only providing around 8-10MB so the mini box is connecting to the sky Q box but the internet connection is too weak. We've tried a sky wifi booster as well but it's not able to connect to the main wifi in the house.

Does anyone have any experience of how to make multiroom work when connecting from a garage / outhouse?

Thanks
