      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just moved into a new build flat with a communal dish with Sky Q access. Moved my box across and changed the LNB settings to SCR using the engineer menu and then rebooted the router by unplugging etc. Have connected it to our Router (Not Sky) succesfully but can not access any apps at all still despite all the help I have read claiming&amp;nbsp; that these should still be available despite having no satelite signal.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can plug the satelite feed directly into the TV which allows us to view Freesat so the satelite is "working". We have an engineer visit on Saturday to complete the home move but does anyone know of anything that we can do between then and now which would at least allow us to watch some of our recordings?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It sounds like there should be a component to add to your cflats connection to allow Sky Q to work&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2605228"&gt;@Godfrey&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; would be able to advise on this.&lt;/P&gt;

If it's been more than a few days then the box will not allow you to view anything as it needs a periodic refresh from the satelitte to keep the box alive. If it doesn't get this then afraid you will not be able to use the box at all until as&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2705889"&gt;@Quoman7&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;says when the engineer arrives.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you, wasn't informed about that when I booked my home move. The lady I spoke to when I booked the move seemed to suggest it should just be "plug and play" and that the engineer was a back up I could cancel in case it didn't work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Slightly annoying the box is useless and I can't even view recordings or apps without a connection, but it is what it is. Gives me an excuse to connect the xbox up ASAP &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":face_with_tears_of_joy:"&gt;😂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Seems a shame for the engineer to come out to complete that as I actually want to "upgrade" to Sky Glass, but the person sorting the home move didn't allow me that option either before or during insisting this was the better way to do it!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Bit surprising they would use an older LNB if the sockets the install are for Sky Q, but I can believe they would cut costs in any way they could!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The LNB at the dish end in communal systems is likely to be a universal LNB with 4 separate outputs&amp;nbsp; which are suitable for use with Freesat and SKY HD by default.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;These outputs then go through&amp;nbsp; separate equipment&amp;nbsp; to be used by SKY Q&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It may be that the equipment to use for SKY Q is there but your personal feed just not switched to use it - although it might not be present&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/3252247"&gt;@Masrat1&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; From reports I have seen, Glass is certainly not an upgrade.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;not sure why anyone who can have a dish would want Glass, unless you need a new TV - even then you should be aware it isn't a very high spec TV.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;sky introduced Glass as a way of getting people who cannot have a dish to subscribe to Sky - personally I don't think it will take over from SkyQ, certainly not in the foreseeable future.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
