Sky dish damage

Hi All,

In the wind overnight, the visibleware 4 quad thing has fallen away from the bracket on the dish and just hanging down from the wires. I dont think any damage has been caused, simple it has come of the bracket. My sky is not working due to 'salletite' issues. Is this easy to solve or do I need a sky engineer?

I would give Sky a call about this ASAP asI suspect others will be calling due to the weather. So the sooner you call, the sooner you get an engineer booked. You could try to put the LNB (quad thing) back and see if that works. But don't do anything that could cause more damage.

Hi - it is Sky Q, originally sky HD so I have 2 wires which are not connected as the 2nd rom now just requires a mini box. However I think the visiblewave thing maybe the same as before

If the dish is easily reachable then it might be worth seeing if the LNB can be popped back on the dish arm, but ladder work always carries a risk. Given the widespread winds yesterday, there may be quite a wait for a Sky installer.

Yes I tried that.. I am cwertainly no engineer! I was hoping that simply resting it back on the arm would do the trick but unfortuantely hasn't. I assume it has to be poasitioned perfectly?

Don't hang up or you'd just have to go to the back of the queue. Just wait until you get someone.

Also, have a look online to find out where the LNB goes before you attempt it.
