FOLLOWING SKY INSTRUCTIONS WHICH TAKE YOU THROUGH HOW TO GET THE NEW HIGHBRESOLUTION ON MY OLED 65A16LA LG TV -ITSTATES PICK 10 P0INT OPTION IN RICTURE RESOLUTION -MINE WILL ONLY GO TO 8 POINT RESOLUTION UHD -I HAVE CHECK WITH LG AND THEY ADVISE THAT THE TV IS CONFIGURED TO ACCEPT 10 POINT RESOLUTION HAS ANYONE ANY TIPS THAT CAN HELP ME ACCOMPLISH THIS PLEASE OR HAVE I GOT TO STICK WITH WHAT I HAVE

PS I AMD COMPLETE NOVICE AT THIS AND HAVE NO IT OR TV EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE AT ALL AND ACCEPT THAT I MAY BE TALKING GARBAGE

The first thing to check is that the setting on your TV for the HDMI input you are using with SKY is set to Deep color

Sounds like LG have already checked fhat you have turned on "deep colour" on your HDMI inputs which is what's needed for it to tell a source like Sky that it supports 10bit colour (I have no idea why this is even an option since having it turned off has no benefit - unless it saves a bit of power maybe)

I would still double check that though as I can't think of any other reason the Q would think it can't use it.

Always worth doing a reset on the Q box as well just in case it's remembered something and refuses to change its mind.

@BRIAN+SPITTLEHOUSMine would not let me select 10 bit (not a LG) however when I used the option to let the Q box choose it selected 10 bit.

May not work but worth a try.

Many thanks to neveryone who kindly responded to my question which i found most informative however at the present time im away from home for a few days and cant apply the recomendations until my return and i will try them soonest -many thanks for this and i undertake to update again as soon as i have tried them
