Hi @Muddsy

You could try holding down 7 and 9 together for a few seconds to reset the remote

Then try 1 and 3 again

does it make any difference going to settings / setup / remote control on your Q box ?

I'm assuming you've checked the batteries are ok

Other than that or a faulty remote - the above should work

I assume what you are trying to do here is to get your Sky remote to operate the volume on your TV ?

When you go through the mini box menu as suggested does the remote respond at all ?

If you feel it may be a faulty remote - Sky are usually very fair if you ask for a goodwill replacement

The remote does all the functions other than volume ,the mouse I have got for my Internet does the volume on my TV, but not my sky mini box remote .

If you go to

settings / setup / remote control on your mini box screen menu

what happens when it asks you if you want it to control the volume on your TV ? Do you see the make of your TV in the drop down menu ?

If so - when you select the make - does it offer you "find it for me ? "

You mention a mouse - is the TV linked to your mouse ?

The mouse is part of the smart T.V the volume works on that and it will control the sound on the T.V ,

I can't see why being controlled by the mouse should prevent your TV being controlled by the Sky remote @Muddsy

Going back to my previous replies - how far do you get in the setup using the sky Q mini onscreen menu

On the set up get right up to find it for me ,then tells me to hold 1 And 3 for a few seconds, then put a number code in ,I do that but nothing happens ,I give in ,just annoying having to use the smart TV mouse to control volume, thanks for your help to try solve the problem.

Just in case you want to persevere with troubleshooting-

When you have chosen your brand of TV

Do you not then get a screen that says

I Know it

Find it for me

Choose find it for me

On my screen it doesn't ask me for a code

it says -

We're trying the settings that are most likely to work first

This screen

You seem to be getting something different

Maybe it's your brand of TV ? What screen do you see ?

If on the other hand you are ok with the mouse - then I'll leave it with you.
