The sky picture is perfect. It's just there is no sound.

The photo in my post is of the connector in the attic into the q box. It is a hdmi splitter into 2 Ethernet cables. Then the Ethernet cables comes down to another hdmi splitter into the back of the tv.

I'm surprised they chose to go ahead with the install: kit like that usually causes them to run away.

Your best bet is to try toggling between the different audio format options in Q.

OK, so it's a Q box actually in the attic (on the end of a dish feed) and then HDMI-over-ethernet to the set? How are you controlling it?

And neither output from the HDMI adapter goes into that TP-Link switch, I hope...

Yes it's plugged into the attic direct to the sky cable.

There is no cable into the TP link which is the sky eye I assume.

In terms of turning the TV over there was a USB coming through the cables that connected to the back of the TV and this seem to control the TV in the lounge without the need of a sky Eye connected

or maybe it's the ethernet cables coming through to the HDMI splitter, God knows as I am not technical. This house is a bit of a minefield that we have just moved into.
