They won't contact you, no one on the forum has account access. No one on the forum knows who you are or your contact details.

You may need to also provide more information as to your issue. Sky don't normally install dishes on roofs as it outside of their normal working practices. Are you sure it hasn't been installed by an independent contractor? Is the roof really yours or is this a multi resident block of flats??

Hi @Sandy047 You should note that it is not Sky's responsibility to get authorisation. It is the paying customer's responsibility as per the terms and conditions they agreed to.

Hi,

We live in an old period house in Sandycove which has been converted into three apartments.

If Sky could please contact me and tell me who gave authorisation to leave unsightly cables sitting on a wall and a satellite dish on the roof. I have asked all other owners if they knew anything about Sky installation here , they do not.

I will remove the cables and dish if Sky will not.

Your choice.

You haven't read what has been posted. Sky won't call you on the back of a forum post, no one knows who you are, where you live or even your contact details.

If another person who lives in the apartments has requested an install then you need to speak to them so they can speak to Sky to get the dish resited. If you cut cables and remove the dish without permission I suspect you could land yourself in hot water legally.

Clearly someone within the block has had the dish installed, where do the cables lead to? More important are you sure you own the roof, does the block have a management company? If so have they done the installation?

Perhaps you could post a picure of the structure?

Sky typically don't do roof mounts, and these days they won't supply Sky boxes for connection to dishes located in places where they wouldn't put one.

There are several other possible uses of a satellite dish, including non-Sky reception (Freesat/Eutelsat) and satellite internet access.
