How can I purchase an additional Sky Q mini box?

We currently have a 2T Sky Q box and one mini box. Would we be able to add another two mini boxes and can these purchased at the moment? There does not seem to be an option to purchase these anywhere on the Sky website?

On your Sky Q TV Main box Home -> My Account -> Upgrade and accessories -> Browse Shop -> Sky Q Mini boxes.

I'm the same as the original post. Would like to purchase another Sky Q mini box. We have one already and would like to move main tv to a different room (leave original Sky Q in old room attached to satellite cable) We also have an old white sky box (not plugged in or used) in our package. Does this mean we can't get purchase another mini box? I've tried to follow the links that have been suggested ...my account...upgrades...browse shop...Can't find this anywhere???

Is there an online chat option available at the moment with Sky?

Hi @Blankblank1804 Are you sure that you are doing this on your TV and not on a computer, tablet or phone?

If I did purchase this would I be able to watch seperate channels then the other Sky Mini box we have in our bedroom?

Hi @Blankblank1804 Yes 😀. Note you need a 2TB or 1TB UHD box to watch on two Mini boxes at the same time. With the original 1TB box, one has to be left in Standby.

Yes we have a 2TB Sky Q box. I haven't purchased yet as might just try extending the HDMI cable to see if we like TV in new position. Don't want to spend £50 if we then move tv back to original spot!

Hi @Blankblank1804 If a HDMI cable run is possible you could consider extending with satellite cables and move the Main Sky Q box.

@Blankblank1804 do you use the tv remote services to buy another sky q mini box? I've looked on the app on my tablet and can't find the option then saw your message.

Hi,

Yes we did end up purchasing another Sky Q mini box. I used a really long USB cable for a few weeks to see if I wanted the TV where I had moved it to then decided to buy the mini box. You purchase it through your tv. Follow the instructions on the above posts.

Im having a few issues though and not sure if it because the main sky box has no TV attached to it. The mini box occasionally blanks out, only for a second or two but it's a bit annoying.

Hope you get on ok with yours.

Hi I'm trying to buy a sky q mini box thru my account on the TV but everything I put card details on & confirm to buy it says something went wrong, have tried 2 different card details but won't let me buy at all, please help!

I am trying to do this too. Have tried on my TV using the shop on there and get as far as checkout put my card details in and then it says there is an error. Did you get sorted if so what was the solution ? Thanks

I have tried yesterday and today on the TV to try and order an extra mini box and after entering all my credit card details it keeps saying there is an issue. Tried more than one credit card and all deatils are 100% correct but still no good. Of course Sky are not taking calls for new orders right now either, so I am stuck. Also cannot even locate where you shop and order this online either. Very dissapointed with the experience. Any advise or assistance welcomed. thx

I also have the same issue, and also tried with 2 different cards.

Seems to be no way to do this now, as like you say you cannot do it via the website or the phone either 😞

Same issue here. Have tried 2 different cards. Just have to keep trying every day I guess, hopefully it's working before they put the price back up again!

It's bewildering that SKY have not addressed this issue as they are losing revenues. Come on SKY you have people wanting to place orders.

I have also just tried to get another box, but when I entered my card details it just said something went wrong, tried another card and got the same result. I wonder how much Sky is losing because of this.
