How do we fight a charge for £92 for telephone call to sort out signal fault.

@Firebuddy It would help to provide more info around why you've been chanrged before the forum can give any advise. We would need to full picture. Did you call apremium rate number? Calls to Sky are free on 150 or cost of a local call on their 03 number.

Assuming this was a call about Sky services, how on earth did it add up to £92? Sky use standard national phone numbers, not premium rate numbers.

The fault was eventually found by an engineer visit as the wrong password🤭We're old😊!

The signal was not good so fitted a booster. But we were on the line for £25 minutes prior to his visit being put through various steps .We only have sky Q no broadband or phones with them .

We thought it was a free call but it was an 0904 number

Edit - 0904 numbers are premium rate numbers I'm afraid, you should have used an 03 number which is a local call and can also be free if you have free minutes or Sky Talk or the 150 number if you have Sky Talk.

We only found out the number we had dialled when our landline phone was cut off !

@Firebuddy Going back to your original query then, I'm not sure why you expect Sky to reimburse the charge for your call when you've, albeit inadvertently, dialled a premium rate number.

@Firebuddy as far as I know Sky never use numbers starting 09 but loads of call forwarding services do. These low lives advertise on line and sometimes get listed before the actual Sky posting. You call their premium number which they forward to Sky - its a great money maker loads of cash for minimal effort. Google make money from the ads and seem in no hurry to stop this happening.

As mentioned in earlier posts Skys own numbers all start 03 and like all such numbers are charged at a standard call rate. I am sorry you have lost out but it is very unlikely Sky will remburse you as they did not make the charge. @Chrisee That is obviously what happened cos my husband looked up number on line and thought we were on an 03 number.Thank you for your help!
