I have an iPhone 12 Pro with Sky. I am in an area that has 5G coverage. I can only get 4G.

I have just purchased a Gigacube from Vodafone which is a Huawei 5G Mobile broadband router with unlimited data sim.

I also had a problem with this getting a 5G signal. Vodafone are now sending me a new sim as the one they sent with the cube doesn't have 5G capability?!

Does this mean I should be asking Sky for a 5G capable sim and will I be able to keep my mobile number.

I am a VIP member

Hi @jackiebarley all sky sims are 5G capable, so you don't need a new sim. Have you enabled the 5G add on in your account?

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-5g#mobile-help-page-technical-contact-us

Thank you. I shall do this. The joke is Sky have just launched WiFi TV but haven't bothered to sort out a WiFi 5G router for those who can only get broadband through a copper wire. I'm having to pay Vodafone £60 a month

I have now found out that my coverage for 5G is with Vodafone. I am not in 5G coverage with Sky as they are off O2 which I only have 4G cover!!!! Maybe Sky should be with Vodafone.

I have now found out that Vodafone 5G coverage does not include my address although it shows on the Vodafone coverage map. So the 5G Vodafone Gigacube is going back and I'm backn to slow Sky WiFi through a copper wire. I'm hoping that the new SKY 5G TV and WiFi box will sort out my problem although O2 ( Sky) coverage of 5G is not in my area yet!
