iPhone 12 not receiving texts from Android users

Hi,

Ive received the iPhone 12 and set up a new Apple ID but I am not recieving any text messages from anyone on an Android phone? My husband and my son both have Samsung and Huawei and I can't receive either? I am getting all iPhone users messages. I've googled and done everything I can find?

any help would be appreciated.

i have just got the iphone 12 a few days ago and i have set it up and created an id but i cannot recieve any text messages from android phones ,i can only recieve them from iphone
