Problems moving from O2 to Sky

I am having problems trying to move to Sky mobile from O2. My phone Samsung Galaxy S8 is locked to O2 have spoken to them trying to get an unlatching code but when I put this in my phone it reads Sim card locked contact service provider for details Sim card PUK locked. I have gone online and got a PUK code which when put in phone it then reads Input new sim card pin. Does anyone know where I can find this. I am ready to cancel my contract with Sky and return to O2 not that I want to but don't know what else to do.

I'm not clear what sim is saying this, Sky or 02 so dos this help:

@chriscand Are you trying to unlock the phone with the Sky sim in it?

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/unlocking-an-o2-mobile-to-use-on-a-different-network from the help file it look like for android phones you need the O2 sim to be in the phone, have you tried this?
